Colorectal cancer also known as colon cancer or bowel cancer, rectal cancer is any cancer (a growth, tumour) of the colon and the rectum, colorectal cancer begins when healthy cells in the lining of the colon or rectum change and grow out of control, forming a mass called a tumor.
